Can't read the posts now but whoever said it would only get worse was right.
Lost it a few minutes ago, it auto adjusted a few times 'cause the screen was too dark
and faded to see. Getting worse fast but bands turn into this:

Couldn't get the monitor cable to attach to the 22" monitor I'd just freed up.
Took it loose from the computer and wrestled it in the floor and finally got it
connected. Then the other end would connect back to the computer.
Gave up after about half an hour. Put the main machine next to the new monitor (TV)
on the bench and the cable plugged right in. I hate it here though. Ordered 2 new
monitor cables from Walmart with my gift certificate. Guess I'm stuck using the too high
bench desk until then.

Didn't want to do it but here's my main machine hooked up to the new TV on the wrong
table. My monitor cables are shot and I'm not going to take the new one off the TV.

Well crap..Maybe you can get it hooked back up on the "normal" desk. Would be a waste where it is. I always wondered if there was a state of "diminishing returns" on the larger TV monitors. You can get a 32 inch TV for about the same price as a 27 inch monitor (?)

That is the 32 inch Toshiba TV I bought on sale ($250) just for use as a monitor.
No dimishing return at 32 inch that I see except now that I can I seem to back
away a little more than I could before. That feels pleasant and makes me smile
though, not because I have to or really need to.

I was just a little surprised that it was so physically imposing, takes the whole
bench and wouldn't be right at all on the little desk. Wouldn't leave any room
for my modem, router, external hard drives, etc. It's much bigger than it looks in
the picture 'cause Ma's closer to the little web cam. I may mount it on the wall
so it can be a little higher. You're supposed to look down a little at the center
but my neck and back like it better when I'm fully erect with good posture.

One month report. It's working out ok I guess, I've sort of gotten used to using
the computer over here now. Just the one resolution availabe for the TV though
1360 X 768
It's ok but on some of the Windows windows the buttons on the bottom are
mostly hidden. If I'm saving something though, just the enter key works and I
know where it is and can click the top of it barely showing to work it.

It's big enough for me to sit farther away from it, I sitting way back and
extending my arms all the way out to type. Need to rearrange and mover the
UPS from behind it and then I can move it back farther. Got some things plugged
into the UPS though so I'll do it when I take the time.

Picture isn't as good as a monitor and the 720 refresh rate is not up to monitor
specs. I really don't need it that big.

I changed back to the 22" monitor yesterday, the picture on the TV is fine for TV
but not really good for a monitor. Got the older Dell hooked to it on the other
desk but I'm back using the desk I always used before.

Then, a sale today and the 22" is a little too small for me. A 24" Acer that does
some weird things. Supposedly can get online without a PC but that must not
have worked out too well if they're selling them off at this price.

Monitor Woes Neggmon18

Has 8 "Gadgets", one's probably the get online one, one's a clock and one's
a calendar. Comes with a keyboard and mouse. 3 USB ports. I didn't see a
driver disk but I'm sure I can get them from Acer.
