Rick came by Wednesday. Asked what we thought of the guy
he recommended to install the sliding glass door. Don't know
why but I showed him the lawnmower rope the squirrel ate
through and asked him where to get some.
He said Ace, no problem, just show it to them and named a
few workers there he knows. Told me about his flowers he
had planted. Something I forget in the middle, regular
marigolds on both sides and yellow marigolds on both sides
of that.
Picked up the rope and handle when he left, said he'd pick up
some rope his own self. I asked him if he wanted me to give
him the money and he said no, he'd bring the bill.
He came back yesterday afternoon, had some rope, maybe
too short, don't know yet. I said "What do I owe you?".
He said "I don't know."
I said "Where's the bill?"
He said "I don't have one."
I went in the office to get some money, not happy but
decided to give him $5. Before I got back in there he said
"It's $10." I knew better of course. Honey asked me if I
needed a $10 bill and I said no, put the $5 back and got a $10
and gave it to him. He had out a bill and said "Here's the
bill."
As soon as he left I told Honey that wasn't right, he's crazy.
She said "Look at the bill, he left it on the table."
I said no, I didn't care, couldn't see it anyway.
She got it and it said rope - $1.33 and two ger at $5 each,
what's a ger? I said geraniums. Just guessing.
That's the way he's always been, knew better than to fool
with him.
