How The Market Looks

Morgan Housel wrote and article, I believe last week
called "The Pain Gap" LINK

He called this chart something else but it helps you
see how the market goes off it's highs.
It ignores what the each new high is and just shows
it as off it's high in a flat line.  I think it's invaluable.



It shows how it's usually off it's high and that there's
nothing to worry about, it's natural.

It also shows the unusually long period we went
through without at least a 10% correction.

Pretty interesting. I guess the moral of the story is hold the course. Too bad it isn't easier to time these things!
