No use trying to keep the tarp on the mustang, I've readjusted it
two or three times already. We're had a little stronger than normal
winds two or three times, probably up to 30 MPH. Brought the tarp
on inside, might be useful after the storm passes.
Pat and Bud called last evening, Pat said "Why don't you all come
on up here and stay?". I told her Honey was in Hawaii. She said
"We'll come and get you!" and they were going to drive down and
jerk me out of here in the big Lincoln. I refused of course.
Bud mentioned that he hoped it didn't hit but if it did, wouldn't it
be funny if it hit Larry's place in Tampa. That's what the forecast
is showing right now, probably change again though.
Pretty nice weather here right now. I've got some water stored
right now but will get a little more before the power goes out.
Dread days without electricity and boredom. Probably no phone
or internet, maybe by morning. It doesn't take a hurricane to
shut down the electricity here.
