Squirrel Moving In

A squirrel has been trying to move in on the porch.
I tore it's attempted nest down a couple of weeks ago
and it's moved to the little squirrel apartment where
Elvis used to live. I jammed the broom up there and
beat it around early yesterday morning but it's got Honey
on it's side now and I'm beat.

It bums nuts pretty often from both of us now.
Honey goes out and stands close and talks baby alk
to it. I don't think it cares for that at all.

It got about four of my sock rags up there and at least
one large plastic zip lock bag. Honey put an old clean
worn out dish rag out there in the floor for it and it took
it up and used it. Got three paper towels I had from
the table and put them up there.

It's no Elvis but it's not going anywhere.

Good stuff. Thanks for sharing. Gonna need a name though? Maybe he'll be around for our next visit!

I've assumed it's a female preparing a birthing and nesting
place. Don't know if Honey will name it or not.

After the original post day it added some leaves it had
collected (Honey said) and a day after that it stole my short
cotton rope to it's construction. I didn't notice it at all
Friday but it had stolen another paper towel coaster from
the table.
Pretty amazing it has such construction skills, not only
using native materials by instinct but adding modern
materials to the mix.

Yeah, better not leave a gun or knife lying around or it might try to eliminate you both from "its" home.
