I don't think Chrome had a beta and this is the regular release to everyone in over one
hundred countries. It didn't start until yesterday afternoon and there was a lot of
griping about that.
I like it but it's not really a working browser for me and I'll still need IE for making and
testing web pages. It's not in your face and left Yahoo as my default search engine.
I've got my IE set to not search from the address bar though so I didn't even know I
had a default search engine, I always just go to Google and search.
Microsoft is saying Google is monopolistic and will probably bring and antitrust suit
against them.
I don't know if it'll take off in popularity or not but it could if it can pay the PC makers
to include it with each new machine, they've already got most companies putting
Google desktop search on the new machines. It'll probably take more users from
Firefox than it will IE to start with since most people just take what comes with the computer
and never download a new browser and the ones who did decide for themselves are
the ones that are running Firefox. I like it good enough that I'm going to keep it.
It's fast.
Five ScreenshotsIt disables F11 and full screen when it's in focus.
I got rid on my bookmarks now and it looks even better.
That darn Jing sun is in all my screenshots.
