Curly can't stay with anything. He decided to start walking to get in shape and
so he was going to walk every morning. Made Diane start walking with him.
Well he actually started doing it and walked for maybe three/four weeks.
Then one morning he stopped and turned around and walked back home.
Told Diane they were half way anyway and made her come back with him.
Hasn't walked since. Diane still walks every day.

Curly'd been wanting a WII for awhile, said it made exercising fun. Let you play
games and bowl and stuff so he bought it to replace walking and bought the
bowling thing for it and a few more things. Gonna exercise every day he says.

The other day when Diane went on her walk he hadn't even got up yet but
when she got home he was on the WII. Now it was some kind of thing where you
had to put in your info - how tall you were, what you weighed, and your age. I don't
know what else and do some things on it. He'd gotten on it for his evaluation and it
said he had the body of a 72 year old. Diane laughed and he told her to get her fat
ass up there, she'd probably be over 100. She was tired already but got on and
gave it a whirl. It said she had the body of a 46 year old.

She was the one who told it of course and he hasn't mentioned the WII since.

That gave me a laugh.
By the way what ever happened to Jo? Did she die or just leave town? Or neither?

Jo's in the rehab place, mean as ever. Gonna kick wome butt when she
gets out and starts surveying what work has been done or how when
she gets out. She's wanting to come home and there doesn't seem to
be anything wrong with her so I don't know why they don't just let her
come home. I guess she's a little afraid to over ride what they tell her.

Helen read this post and reminded me, it said Diane was fat and
Curly was obese.

I didn't notice that in either of them when I was down there.
Of course time can make a difference.

Neither are fat. Diane has a lot of muscle and Curly's about two people wide.
It's just the times, everybody obsesses over their weight now. And, these
weight loss programs all try to make you accept that you're fat and not like
that so you'll stick with it. Creating motivation by making you feel inferior
and less than you want to be.

Good analysis Thump. It's odd to me that the people who truly are obese and may have related health concerns are the ones who don't agonize as much as those 5- 10 lbs overweight.

I remember a goofy test we had to take in the second grade and one of the questions was " Are all fat people jolly?" I answered yes! Missed that one..
