Your second cousin Janis (Robert Hughes sister) died last night in a nursing home. She had cancer of the lung and liver.

Pat's stepmother died this morning. Pat's father has a lot of land (about $2,000,000 worth) and a lot of other investments. He had his will made so that Pat and her sister would get it. He got alzheimers and she changed the will to leave the land and their home to some couple they met less then a year ago who began staying with them and taking care of them. She also put in the will that anyone who contested the will would be denied getting the rest of the property.

If you remember Gail Brooks and Sue; their mother died day before last.

I hope it's not the air.

I thought Elsie's daughter name was spelled Janice,
shows how much I know.

Looks like Pat better roll in there and take charge of that
situation while he's still alive. I guess she ought to get
appointed his guardian.
What would be left if the house and land went to someone
else?

I don't remember the Brooks woman very well, sure do
remember Sue and Gail though. Seems like she was a
nice woman.

If they just get the remainder of his holdings, Pat and her sister will get thousands instead of millions.

I'd go for it, as only surviving family they'd almost certainly get appointed guardians.
