Kevin and a few, not many, other young people from Kevin's forum have their
own personal DNS servers in their home but that's too much trouble for most.
The rest use freeDNS. Google also has one and I would expect it would work
better and Google probably isn't going to find out much from it that it doesn't
already know since I google so much.
Comcast has put itself in the way of the official DNS for the internet.
(See Here and I know your Internet Service Provider does the same
thing 'cause you can't get thumpet dot com and the official DNS points to
the right place.
So, as bad as I hate to I'm thinking about setting the router to go somewhere
else besides Comcast (Google). The instructions are

knows where thumpnet is but there's no telling what pages it may start
sending me to instead of the places I want to go. I just want them to
give me the internet I pay for and stay out of the darn way.
