Cisco and Acer Netbook Empty
PostSubject: Cisco and Acer Netbook   Cisco and Acer Netbook Icon_minitimeWed May 11, 2011 9:03 pm

I've got the netbook online wirelessly now. I guess it was my fault but in XP I tried to
get on as a guest and gave the main password 'cause I didn't know what the guest
password was. Didn't work. I fooled with the router awhile but couldn't find the guest.

Looked online and it was suggested to use Cisco Connection and I couldn't find it.
Finally did, I saw it messed with the menu when it was installed and put itself above
the regular programs in alphabetical order but finally found it, fired it up and there was
the guest password.

Booted to Win 7 and set it up as a regular and got it working. It still keeps telling me it's
not genuine and wants me to go online. I could give it the key again but I'm not going to
bother I don't think. It pops up every once in awhile and tells me it's not genuine. I know it is
'cause I've got MSE installed but it won't update now that it says I'm not genuine. I've
had a few installs become unactivated now, don't know why.

It did turn my screen black, not a big deal, I changed it to blue but the wrong one so it was
too bright. Tired of it and set it back to United States and rotating the Wallpapers again.

Anyway, the wireless is working now on the little $180 Acer.
