Dallas Question

All news seems just the same simple story.
I'd like to know when the police got bombs to blow people up.

How did they slip that through the budget?
How many do they have?

They're trying to stick with the term "device".  A device that
blows up is a bomb isn't it?

There was some discussion about did the robot drop the bomb
and retreat or did it just blow itself up like a suicide bomber?
We know it cost over $100,000.00, probable way over.

And one more thought.  The US military trained this man to
fight and kill and sent him to Afghanistan.  I still think we do
too much of that.

Says they cost $5000 but that's not totally clear. It also says these were used by soldiers in Iraq. Some irony there when you take into account the man's training/ service. I'm not sure it is much different than using a drone but does send a little shiver down your spine.

Maybe it's not over 100 thousand, that's just came from an
early story on TV from a reporter who called all the
companies that make these things, talked to one guy at
one of them who said he was sure it wasn't from his company but
that it had to cost that much at least.

I was thinking myself they could get one of the childs toys
with the remote control car or truck and use that. That's
probably what a terrorist would do.

Probably not a real robot then, just a remote guided something.
