Bill Mooney Dead

William "Bill" Mooney - JOHNSON CITY
Honorable William R. (Bill) Mooney, age 68, of Johnson City, TN, passed away on Tuesday,
February 24, 2009, at Wellmont Hospice House in Bristol, TN, after a brief illness.

Buddy might want to postpone any other recreation and
attend the funeral.

You are so funny. I saw it in the paper this morning. I doubt that either Pat or Buddy read the paper, so I will call them tonight and tell Bud what you said.
Frankly, I never heard of any scandal in re to Mooney, I think he was a pretty good citizen. He didn't get Buddy in trouble, Buddy did that to himself.

He was a real bung hole every time I had to deal with him right up to the
end of the trial after I'd told the judge and one day near the last he came
up to me and started a conversation and acted halfway human. Still a
know it all but hey, so am I.

Buddy said he, and I think Pat was with him, met Mooney in downtown
Johnson City and he was a completely different man. Seemed not to be
filled with venom and hate. They just talked a little and went on their seperate
ways.

I didn't know about you talking to him or buddy and pat meeting him downtown , or if I did I had forgotten about it. I never spoke to him, I knew that he was prosecuter, but that's all. Buddy did tell me once that he came to Shoney's one time to eat. He sent a lot of lawbreakers away so I guess that was what he was supposed to do.

I never got to speak with Buddy until last night. You werre right and I was wrong. Buddy still hates him and said he would have been glad to celebrate his funeral. Still very bitter. Raved for 5 minutes.
