Rock used his camera in movie mode to make a movie of our place and us Friday
and we finally got it off the camera and on my computer. It was taken at 800x600 I
believe and was very large. He uploaded it to Youtube yesterday, he started the
download and left and it took quite a while. I started searching for an AVI spliter but
ran across mytubeplayer and tried it out in a XP virtual machine and it worked great.
You just put in the link of the youtube page that the video is on and it downloads and
saves the .flv file in it's own folder and puts it on it's list. The program is small, about
a 500 kb but the folder gets bigger as it saves .flv files of course. You can play it
back at any time without being on the internet.
The "tube" version is very degraded of course but if you can stand it on Youtube, it's
the same after you save it. It would be good for anyone on dialup that might want to
see them more than once.
The difference:
482 MB for the complete movie in AVI form
11.026 MB for the same movie in flv format after uploading to youtube.
