| Starting fresh for the project. I'm not there and neither are any of my tools so we'll go with what Windows offers itself I guess. I've started the how to page, after we're through with that I should probably stay on the phone with you until we get the install going in case my memory is missing anything and needs refreshing as we go. I've done it a thousand times I guess but my memory's not quite as sharp as it once was. Shouldn't be any problem at all though. How To Page Online

| The partition shrink looks easy enuff and I suspect I can do that anytime. Maybe tonight. Might call tomorrow night , say 7:30ish? , to load Ultimate. Will let you know and evaluate the instructions a little more. Thanks! | |

| I'll be here ready. I'll tell Honey to remind me. You have to make some choices when you go through, time zone and stuff you can do fine I think but I'd like to be in on it when you're choosing where to install. | |

| OK, The damn thing's shrunk! I typed in 400000 and the shrink button went grey. Had to settle for like 333 gb but that should be more than I ever need. We'll plan for 7:30 tomorrow night. Got the Ultimate disk ready but you may want to round up the code?! | |

| Yeah, that's plenty for sure. If you ever need more space you can still use the other partition after you set it up to share. Way to go, we're ready if it worked. Did it show the unallocated space? I don't remember now. | |

| Successful, Rock's double booting now. Booted back to the old one for the network driver. I added it to download and then clicked "Broadcom" and it took me to the page that said it was 120 somethng, maybe 127 MBs. Already have a copy somewhere so didn't go ahead and try to download it again. | |

| OK, Got MSE on Ultimate now so I'm protected! Need to add pictures, docs, music, etc. You said earlier there might be an easy way to just transfer/share them between the two partitions so I don't have to drag everything in again from the USB?
Gonna need some Office stuff some so maybe we can do that PW again Sunday night?
Thanks again. | |

| Office whenever you're ready, I'm here. Yeah, they can see each other but don't just let you go straight in. You can though. After it pops up something click continue and wait a minute and it'll let you in almost everything.
Sharing works but the whole thing is pretty complicated but you go to Computer in the OEM one, then Users, the user account, and right click on Documents and chose share and that speeds things up just by itself.
I opened Computer, then C:\ and then right clicked and "New" and Folder and named it share. Works fine on mine and I made document and picture folders in that. Not as much hassle as breaking into the other's User accounts. Drag and drop in from any other folder then.
Should run like a hant with the clean install, hope you can pick some nice applications that won't start bogging it down and spying on you.
You will need to download some codecs to play all the different types of music/video files since new ones always come out and you don't get the new ones with the Windows install. I'll hunt a link for you and put it here when I do. | |
